The ditch makes the lay‑up the sensible option. From most tees, 200–220 yards will leave you safely short of the burn and avoid a steep downhill lie. Favour the left side of the fairway for the best angle. Missing left or right from the tee will leave you blocked out, and out of bounds lurks on the right. The raised front of the green must be carried or the ball will roll back.
Pro Tip: Take an extra club – the approach plays uphill.
